Age, safety & accessibility

  • Children are welcome. Small children usually ride with an adult, so tell us their ages.
  • The camel kneels to let you on and off and lurches as it stands up. Hold on when the guide tells you to.
  • If you have back problems, are pregnant or can’t sit astride for an hour, take the 4x4 transfer instead.
  • Pack medicines, chargers and anything valuable in your small bag, not in the big luggage.
  • There may be a weight limit for the camels’ sake. Just ask us.

Booking conditions

  • Sending a request does not book you in straight away. We’ll confirm the time and meeting point by WhatsApp or email.
  • Strong wind or a sandstorm can delay a ride. If needed we take you to the camp by 4x4 instead.
