A private romantic dinner in the Merzouga desert, lit by lanterns, set up for you in the dunes or at a luxury camp on request.
We're still finishing the details on this page. Ask us and we'll send you what's included, the timings and the price in writing.
Arranged on request. We'll check availability before you commit to anything.
A private romantic dinner in the Merzouga desert is what couples ask us for when the evening has to count: a proposal, an anniversary, a honeymoon. We set the table either in a quiet spot among the Erg Chebbi dunes or in a reserved corner of a luxury camp. Which one depends on the season, the weather and the camp. You get rugs on the sand, low cushions and plenty of lanterns and candles. Around you, just dunes and sky.
Dinner is a Moroccan menu over several courses. It usually opens with soup and a spread of salads, then a main such as tagine, couscous or slow-cooked lamb when it's available, and ends with fruit, pastries and mint tea. We agree the menu with the camp beforehand and pass on anything you want: dietary needs, a favourite dish, flowers, a birthday cake, or a quiet moment kept free for the question.
Every dinner is set up individually, so nothing is fixed until we've checked with the camp. Plenty of couples ride out on a sunset camel trek first and stay the night, or walk out for some stargazing after the meal.
Yes, and we're glad to help you plan it. Tell us what you have in mind (a certain moment, flowers, a secluded spot) and we'll check with the camp what can be done.
That's up to the camp. Some don't serve alcohol at all, and the rules differ from one to the next. Ask when you send your request and we'll give you a straight answer for your date.
Strong wind or blowing sand makes dinner in the open dunes unpleasant. If that happens, we move you to a sheltered part of the camp or suggest another evening.
You don't have to, but most couples do, since the camp is out in the dunes. Ask about a night at a luxury camp and we'll book the two together.
